WAG! Fest attendees will find a full day of activities and treats for the entire family – including Fido! From educational advice to live entertainment, WAG! Fest is a FREE, fun, dog-friendly and convenient way to learn about what’s new, what’s popular and what’s best when it comes to you and your canine companions.

11:30 a.m.	Hot Dog Eating Contest, sponsored by Concessions by Cox (for our human pals only)
12:00 p.m.	Doggie Fashion Show & Accessories, presented by Moochie & Co.
1:00 p.m.	Flying K9s Presentation presented by Southern Ohio Flying K9s
12:30 p.m.	*Dispatch* Doggie Idol, presented by The Columbus Dispatch and Columbus Alive! (see details below)
1:30 p.m.	What Makes a Good Therapy Dog with Angie Jones of Angie’s Basic Obedience Therapy Dog Class
2:15 p.m.	Dogs with Jobs – a Customs & Boarder detection dog demonstration with Oakley and Otis, of the Department of Homeland Security’s Customs & Boarder Protection Division
3:30 p.m.	K9 Response Search & Rescue, with Becky Smith, of K9 Response Search & Rescue

12:00 p.m. AND 2:30 p.m.	Dog Agility Demonstrations presented by Columbus All-Breed Training Club
12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m	On-site Dog I.D. Microchipping provided by the Capital Area Humane Society Available for only $15

You may be partial, of course, but if your pup stands out from the pack, be sure to participate in DISPATCH DOGGIE IDOL, taking place from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. (Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. at the “Take A Bow-Wow Stage”)

• Most Athletic (highest jump, best flip, best athletic skill)
• Most Vocal (best park, longest howl)
• Most Talented (best trick)
• Doggie/Owner Look-A-Like

Grand prize winners will have the opportunity to strut their stuff on the runway at the Capital Area Humane Society’s signature event, Mardi Paws, taking place September 18. Each grand prize winner will receive two event tickets to the event, valued at $240.
